Reporting a player or content

We have zero tolerance for harassment, offensive nicknames, or cheating.

In the app or browser client

  • During a game: Tap any player’s name in the lobby list or end-of-game recap and choose Report Player or Block Player.
  • Hosts: A host can remove any disruptive player immediately by tapping their name in the lobby or active game menu.

By email

If you experienced an issue and cannot report it in-game:

  1. Email support@manhuntgame.com with the subject Player Report.
  2. Include the 4-letter join code (if known), the player’s nickname/emoji, and approximate time of the game.
  3. Every report is reviewed by human operators within 24 hours.

How to delete your data

Manhunt has no accounts, no passwords, and collects minimal data. To wipe your device identity and all historical game records:

On iPhone (app)

  1. Open the app and tap the Gear / Settings icon in the top right.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete My Data.
  3. Confirm the prompt. This immediately wipes your stored session credentials from your device Keychain and sends a deletion request to the server to purge your identity record.

In your browser (/play and /j/*)

  1. On the join screen or the recap sheet, tap Forget this device.
  2. Or open your browser settings and clear site data for manhuntgame.com.

GPS & Location Troubleshooting

Manhunt requires high-accuracy GPS to calculate boundaries, pings, and tags.

“Location Denied” or “No Fix”

  • iPhone: Go to your phone’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Manhunt. Ensure access is set to While Using the App and toggle Precise Location ON.
  • Android / Chrome: Tap the tune/lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Location → Allow. Ensure your device’s High Accuracy Location mode is enabled.
  • Low Power Mode: Battery saver modes throttle GPS updates. If your position feels laggy, turn off Low Power Mode while playing.
  • Stale Signal Pulse: If your marker is pulsing with a radar ring, your phone has not received a fresh GPS fix in over 30 seconds. Move out from under heavy concrete structures or dense tree canopies.

Safety & Emergency Notice

Manhunt IRL is a physical game played in the real world.

  • Touch-Tag Only: Never tackle, grab, trip, or shove.
  • Emergency: In an emergency, always dial 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Never rely on the app or GPS in an emergency.
  • Safety Pause: Any player can hold the Safety Pause button for 2 seconds to immediately freeze all game timers and alert everyone.
